To meet the client’s request for a light-filled home, (fer) Studio designed a linear skylight running the length of the house, flooding the central spaces with daylight. Acting as the home’s spine, the skylight connects the two floors and tracks the sun’s path, creating dynamic lighting throughout the day.

The bold glass-and-brick front façade contrasts with the private side yard, where dark-stained cedar siding blends with pine trees and selectively reveals windows. Driven by the connection between interior flow and external factors like orientation, solar exposure, and landscape, (fer) Studio’s design integrates light and space to create an architecture defined by its seamless relationship with its environment.
