Wiggle Walls: Playful Public Art for the Inglewood Community

Wiggle Walls is a vibrant public art installation by Christopher Mercier, designed to enhance the Rogers Park Community Center Preschool Program in Inglewood. Combining urban planning with visual art, the piece features curved walls and oversized curbs adorned with bold colors and playful graphics to define the toddlers’ outdoor play area. The design incorporates heritage graffiti by an unnamed youth and complements Pathways to Success, a collaborative mural Mercier co-designed with local teens in 2015. As an artist and architect, Mercier’s work blends creativity and community, creating spaces that engage and inspire while celebrating local culture.
